Enter the Ninja By a_pint_of_milk
I stumbled across this movie on cable one night and decided to watch it
as I had nothing better to do. I'm glad I did. This movie is excellent.
Franco Nero stars as Cole, an American who after finishing his training at
ninja school travels to the Philippines in order to fight the
ultimate-ninja (Sho Kosugi). With the help of his friend Tobias (Harry
Dean Stanton), they embark on a daring mission to stop the ultimate-ninja
resurrecting the evil spirit Mhlonja.
Menahem Golan (Delta Force, Mack the Knife), does an excellent job
directing here. In fact, he was shortlisted as best director for this
movie at the Mouvre film festival in Switzerland. The story culminates
with a showdown between Cole, the ultimate-ninja and rather bizarrely, a
gang of clowns. I won't spoil the story anymore than that.
I can highly recommend this film to fans of the genre and those who want
to see some of the finest choreographed fight-scenes ever shot.
