Istanbul - the 1920s.
American heiress Eve Tozer (BETH ARMSTRONG) will lose her vast inheritance if her father, lost somewhere in the wilds of Asia, is not found within 12 days.

With the dubious help of drunken, ex-flying ace O'Malley (TOM SELLECK) and his two rickety biplanes, she sets off to the rescue, battling through the skies and deserts of Turkey, Afghanistan and China, through peasant revolts and barbaric tribal warfare, narrowly escaping death - and worse! - at every turn.
