This sparkling Neil Simon comedy features a first-rate line up of stars, including Jason Robards, Marsha Mason and Donald Sutherland. Robards brings lovable magic to the role of Max Dugan, a wily old rascal who's got a fortune in ill-gotten loot stashed in his suitcase. Satchel in hand, Robards shows up on the doorstep of his schoolteacher daughter (Mason), who's living in a cramped bungalow which she shares with her teenage son (Matthew Broderick.) Robards is not exactly given the warmest of welcomes by Mason, but that's because she hasn't seen him since she was a child. Eager to make up for lost time with his daughter and grandson, he lavishes them with luxery, buying them every gift imaginable. Filled with warmth, humor and humanity, Max Dugan Returns is certain to leave you cheering.
