The Legend of Billie Jean

By Columbia Pictures

Billie Jean is a typical teenager living in Corpus Christi, Texas. She's been brought up to believe in justice and she thinks people are entitled to what's coming to them. But life's not always that simple, and overnight she becomes both outlaw and hero. Hunted by the police, exploited by get-rich-quick schemers, and imitated and adored by an entire generation, kids by the thousands rally to her battle cry - "Fair is Fair!"

Starring Helen Slater as Billie Jean, Keith Gordon and Peter Coyote as the cop who understands and wants to help but must also serve the Establishment, The Legend of Billie Jean, is an up-beat, whirlwind story about a group of kids who challenger the adult world, fight the battle on their own terms, and along the way, give everyone an awful lot to think about.
