"All I can say is, I wish a large group of artists could still get together (for 1 song) and make that magic happen again. It was peacefull and inspirational. Like anyone who was around in the Awesome80s could forget it (young or old) it was certainly a memoriable time when everyone associated with the music industry was getting involved in a relief effort of some kind. Farm Aid, Sting's Rain Forest thing etc. Who said the Awesome80s was the "greed decade"? In Canada we had our own song "Tears are Not Enough" which I perfer to "We are the World". [Editor's note: It was on this album as well.] Along with Bob Geldolf's "Do They Know it's Christmas Time" it was indeed a special time music history, most likely never to be seen again.
