1987-88 Fleer Basketball Cards

Fleer chose not to give up on basketball cards despite disappointing sales of the now-classic 1986 set and returned with this set. Once again 12 card, 50¢ wax packs contained an All-Star sticker and a piece of gum. Because of the consistent positioning of the sticker card within the pack, virtually all stickers have stained backs.

The cards feature a cool bicolor team nickname on the tops of the cards in a dark grey area. Another dark grey area at the bottom of the card shows the player's position and name in yellow lettering. Once again the uncluttered backs feature plenty of space for a biography, but none is provided.

Rookie cards include Detlef Schrempf, Brad Daugherty, A.C. Green, Terry Porter, and Chuck Person. The Mike Gminski features a reversed negative photo. The cards are numbered in alphabetical order with the checklist last.
