Sports in the 1980s

Long time fans of our sites know that we have been promising a baseball site for a long, long time. It is here at long last, and it is beyond the normal scope of our sites: Our several hundred thousand page baseball section actually starts with 1845 and goes all the way to the present!

Update: Our long-awaited United States Football League (USFL) section is up.

We also have our new baseball cards section. It's actually a sports card section with areas for hockey, basketball and football cards too!

Mr. Clean & Charlie Hustle When the decade started, Steve Garvey was known as Mr. Clean for his squeaky clean image and Pete Rose was chasing down Ty Cobb. By the close of the the decade, Garvey had been exposed as a phony who had children out of wedlock with at least two other women and Charlie Hustle was banned from baseball from betting on games. We will be covering all the sports stars of Super70s and Awesome80s from Billie Jean King and Jack Nicklaus to Joe Montana and Barry Bonds to Mike Tyson and Wayne Gretzky to Secretariat and Michael Jordan.
