We Got it MadeBy Brian R.
This sitcom, about a beautiful housemaid who worked for two New York
City bachelors, had two lives: One on NBC (1983-1984) and another several
years later in syndication (1987-1988). The premise was thus: Roommates
David Tucker (an attorney) and Jay Bostwick (a salesman) are having a
difficult time keeping their apartment tidy. The two decide to place a
newspaper ad for a housekeeper. Mickey McKenzie, a stunningly-beautiful
woman in her early 20s, answers the ad. Even though Mickey has had no
prior job experience, the two are instantly smitten and hire her
on-the-spot.
Situations revolve around the relationship between the three and David and
Jay's efforts to explain it all to their skeptical girlfriends, Claudia
and Beth, respectively. Claudia left early in the NBC series, while Beth
was gone in the syndicated series.
When the show returned in first-run syndication in 1987, David, Jay and
Mickey gained new neighbors: Max Papavasiolios Sr. and his son, Max Jr.

"Limited run for a limited idea cribbed from 'The Odd Couple' (opposites having to live together in small apartment etc.).
Teri Copley set up as dizzy maid, supposedly set for stardom after this series, but never did.
Notable Awesome80s style series: even has episode devoted to Awesome80s icons the Georgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) because Copley auditions for a role as a wrestler!" --Andy |
