EnosBy Wikipedia
Enos was a sitcom from the early Awesome80s that aired on
the CBS network. A spinoff of The
Dukes of Hazzard, Enos focused on the adventures of Enos
Strate, a former small-town deputy in Hazzard County, now having moved to
Los Angeles to join the L.A.P.D. Each episode included new adventures of
Enos and his African American partner Turk, and usually began and ended
with Enos writing a letter to Daisy Duke telling her about his adventures
in Los Angeles.
Enos Strate was portrayed by actor Sonny Shroyer in both series. The
show never caught on. It was canceled after one season and the character
returned to The Dukes of Hazzard. |

"Ahhhhhh.....Yes! Though I was a Mere lad of 6 at the time this "Dukes" spinoff came and went within the blink of an eye, I do remember it for the most part. Already being an unquestionable fan of The Duke Boys, I waited with baited breath for the night of it's premiere right after "Dukes" on a Sunday night. I was soooo PISSED because they wouldn't let me stay up long enough to catch the whole episode. Okay, if I am not mistaken, I believe that Enos moved to a big city (L.A.) and became a cop there. His partner was a black guy named Turk, and together they would nail all kinds of bad guys. Too bad the show didn't last long.BUT! luckily for us, Enos still had a home back in good 'ol Hazzard Co.!" --HardcoreHazzard | "All I remember is that at one point Enos was investigating a diamond theft and found himself needing to pose as a buyer of hot "ice." So he got together with a couple of the thieves, who seemed much more dangerous than anyone who had ever menaced the residents of Hazzard County, and he looked at one of the diamonds with the kind of monocle magnifier thing you hold with your eyebrow and cheek when you're examing diamonds, and. . . that's it. That's my whole memory of that show. Oh, and he was wearing a suit. And it was outdoors. You want interesting? Listen to "Fresh Air" on NPR. This is the best I can do." --chicago sparky |
