NBC had long been jealous of CBS's success with 60
Minutes and made many attempts to create something similar. For the
first twenty years after the debut of 60 Minutes, every single NBC effort
failed and was cancelled or dramatically altered before the second (and
final) season.
The title of this show leads you to believe that it would not last
beyond 1986 and, indeed, the last episode was on December 30 of that year.
