Welcome to BaseballChronology.com!By Patrick Mondout
June
1,
2008
Welcome! What was once called "Super70s Baseball" is now BaseballChronology.com!
We are covering the history of baseball from 1845. That is a large
task and we hope you will be patient with us as we roll out new pages over
the coming months. That said there are thousands of pages here
already (over a half million if you include the statistics pages!) for you
to enjoy.
We feature thousands of unique
photos, stats from Retrosheet and the Baseball Database (see credits),
trivia, quotes, crosswords, and full-text books on baseball by Henry
Chadwick and others (a new one is added each month - see below).
If you're interested in baseball history, bookmark this page and
come back each week!

Book of the Month:
Harry

Red Stockings in late 1870. As one of the most important teams in
the history of the sport, the coverage of the Red Stockings is
perhaps the most compelling reason this book remains popular with
historians. Read

Share Your Memories!
|
|
 |
|
Our sites have always been by you and about you. If
you check
our TV Forums or our Technology & Science forums, you'll find literally thousands of messages from fans
of 1970s TV shows, survivors of hurricanes or aircraft accidents, etc. from all over the world sharing their memories, asking
questions, making comments. Our baseball section is new, but don't let
that stop you from sharing
your memories of the first game you went to, your favorite player, a
now-forgotten stadium, etc. Of course you can also ask questions, post
trivia, tell the world what you think of Barry Bonds, or just read what
others are saying.
